Please save the date for this year’s Lois Wells Memorial Kicks for Cancer event at Concord-Carlisle High School (CCHS) on September 27! Hosted by Friends of CCHS Men’s Soccer, Kicks brings the community together to support local high school soccer teams and raise funds to advance women’s cancer research at Dana Farber, particularly research focused on the early detection of ovarian cancer.
This is an exciting day of soccer with games played all day and into the evening. There will be food trucks, a fabulous opportunity drawing, kids’ activities, and awesome Kicks for Cancer gear.

Here is how you can get involved:
- Attend Kicks! On September 27, games start in the morning and run into the night.
- Attend other games and events throughout the week! Events begin the week before, with participation from many CCHS programs coming together to celebrate “One Community One Goal.” Visit https://www.kicksforcancer.org for schedules.
- Get your gear!
- Lawn Signs! Paint our towns pink + teal with Kicks for Cancer lawn signs. Order for 9/13 or 9/20 pick up at https://kicksforcancerstore.wixsite.com/kicks-for-cancer-sto
- PRE-EVENT SALE AT CCHS ON SATURDAY 9/20! This is the one public opportunity to buy Kicks for Cancer shirts, with Nike sweatshirt and sweatpants new for 2025 as well as new dog bandanas, car magnets and hats (all while supplies last) before the event!!! The Kicks for Cancer “pop-up” shop will be located at the CCHS cafeteria from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
- Volunteer at Kicks! committee needs many volunteers to make the event run smoothly, and we still need your help!! Sign up at www.kicksforcancer.org/volunteer to volunteer your time or offer much needed tents and food/drink donations:
- Parking team. Help our amazing parking team direct cars in and out of the event!
- Volunteers at the Upper Turf festival area. Help collect donations at the gate, serve up concessions and sell Opportunity Drawing tickets.
- Tent donations. Have a shade tent large or small you’d be willing to donate for the day? Kicks for Cancer needs several.
- Food/drink donations. Drop off drinks or snacks Friday night for concessions.
- Visit our Community Partners and Sponsors! Many local businesses support the event and help “paint the towns pink + teal,” posting Kicks lawn signs, offering pink themed drinks, sprinkles on ice cream, Kicks inspired workouts and more.
