7th Grade Play - Newsies!
The 7th-grade class cordially invites one and all to its production of Disney’s Newsies JR! Newsies is a high-energy musical featuring a Tony Award-winning score. It draws inspiration from the historic Newsboy strike of 1899, where a band of orphan and runaway newsies went on strike against unfair conditions. Together, the newsies learn that they are stronger working together and creating a movement to fight for what’s right. Please save the date for the following three performances:

- Saturday, March 23 at 7 p.m.
A longstanding Carlisle tradition, the 7th-grade play promotes class bonding as students rehearse for months under the wonderful guidance of Director Kendra Thyne, Musical Director Amanda Kern, and Choreographer Kate Henderson. Parents and students work together to create fantastic sets and costumes. The musical is presented through a special arrangement provided by Music Theatre International. Disney’s Newsies JR. is a fantastic show, with rousing songs and big dance numbers perfect for all ages! For families with younger children, it is a terrific way to share the joys of live theater.
