Carlisle PTO Volunteer Guidelines

Thank you for volunteering with the PTO! Your time and energy make a big difference. To help everything run smoothly, please keep these simple guidelines in mind:
- All Volunteers Must Be CORI-Approved
For everyone’s safety, all volunteers must have a current CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) check on file with the school before helping in any capacity.
- Follow School Rules and Staff Instructions
All volunteers and visitors to the school must sign in at the Main Office. Please respect all school policies and follow directions from school staff at all times. We are guests in the school and want to set a good example. - Community First
While it’s natural to care deeply about your own child’s experience, volunteers are in place for the benefit of the whole class, grade or school community. - Be Kind and Respectful
Treat all students, families and CPS staff with kindness and courtesy. - Help Where It's Needed Most
Be flexible and open to assisting wherever help is needed, even if it’s not directly connected to your child, their class or grade. - Be Dependable
If you commit to helping with something, please do your best to follow through. If something comes up, please let the PTO or school organizer know with as much advance notice as possible. - Respect Privacy
Any personal information about students or staff you may learn come across while volunteering must be kept private and confidential. Also, you may not post pictures of any child besides your own on social media channels.
