PTO Faculty & Staff Grants PROPOSAL PROCESS
We are pleased to announce the PTO is now accepting Faculty & Staff Grant proposals! Please consider your needs or new ideas and apply!
DEADLINE FOR 2024 is OCTOBER 11th
Grant proposals may come from any segment of the school community and may include funding for on- or off-campus activities, workshops for/with students, educational materials, equipment, or pilot enrichment programs. In past years, we have received excellent proposals submitted by individuals or teams.
Applications can be downloaded from the bottom of this page.
The PTO will also consider more than one proposal submitted by an individual or team, so please consider all of your needs. We cannot fund every grant, and some ultimately may not meet the criteria. To guarantee your application receives full consideration, we ask that you demonstrate the following:
• Team involvement, including large numbers of students, faculty, parents and/or members of the community-at-large
• Tie-in to the current Carlisle Public Schools District Goals
• The anticipated impact on student learning
• Sources of alternate or matching funds
All applications must be filed via email by mid October (the actual date is on the application). Please understand that the deadline is firm. The proposals will be reviewed by the Grants Committee, chaired by Katie Vachon, the Carlisle PTO Treasurer. The awards recommended by the Grants Committee will then be voted on during the PTO Board meeting and again at the School Committee meeting in November. Grant applicants will be informed of the decisions by letter in November. Once grant items are in use or your project is complete, we will ask you to submit an evaluation form within thirty days.
The application to submit a proposal is a download available under the Teacher Grants tab on this website. Please complete the application and email your proposal in plain text or Word format to Katie Vachon, PTO Treasurer and please cc: the Superintendent, as well as the Elementary and Middle School Principals. You will receive a confirmation by email within 48 hours. If you do not receive confirmation, you would like to see an example of a well written proposal, or have any questions, please contact Katie Vachon at [email protected]
