Carlisle PTO Volunteers
Through our ongoing relationship with the school administration, we are able to provide much needed volunteer services to assist the school in its goal of providing excellence in education to our children.
We rely year after year on our many enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers. If you have volunteered in the past, thank you and we hope that you will plan to help out again this year. Volunteering at the school is a wonderful way for you to meet parents, teachers and the administration, and to help provide valuable assistance to our school. Whether it is one day per month or a few times per week, or even once a year, your involvement in your child’s education will create lasting memories for your family. |
To get started, please use the online, volunteer sign up form. Thank you! If you have any questions, please find the appropriate contact through the PTO Board and Coordinator list. |
Immediate Volunteer Opportunities
Ready to jump right in and volunteer? Here are a few areas that could use your help!
Outdoor Recess: Parent Volunteers provide additional eyes and ears at recess for improved safety and quick problem resolution. But the most important reason we ask parents to join us for Recess is to help children enjoy this break from their classroom activities. Facilitate an activity or just be present to encourage children to relax and have fun! Click here to sign up! Questions? Email Linda Cavallo-Murphy at [email protected].
Indoor Recess: When inclement weather happens, students enjoy recess indoors in their homerooms. We are hoping to create a list of parents who would be able to possibly come in on short notice to monitor a homeroom for 20-25 minutes. If you are interested or would like to learn more, please contact Registrar/Recess Supervisor Linda Cavallo-Murphy at [email protected]. Thank you!
Library - Vital to the operations of the school library, volunteers help with a number of general tasks that allow our library staff to take care of the larger issues of running the library. Parent volunteers assist with checking books in and out, re-shelving and maintaining neatness along with other small jobs. You may sign up to help out as often as you would like; one day a week or just once a month. Whatever time you have to offer is greatly appreciated! Our coordinator will make every effort to involve veteran volunteers as well as new faces to the schedule. Contact Diane our Library Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected].
Peer Program - The PTO Peer Parent Program is an opportunity to volunteer and assist a new family as they enter the Carlisle Schools. The program is quite simple – we match a new family parent with a current family parent who can serve as a Q & A resource. We would ask that you reach out to your family, and field questions via email or telephone to help them get acclimated. Contact Lindsay our Newcomer Program Coordinator at [email protected].
