The Carlisle Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is here to enhance your experience at the Carlisle Public School. Our mission is to work closely with the administration to support the school and provide regular communication to the parent community. The PTO organizes parent volunteers in many capacities at the school and raises funds for the annual Faculty & Staff Grants and Curriculum Enrichment programs. We host a number of low-cost family events throughout the school year to build a feeling of community, and we sponsor the fall and spring Teacher Appreciation Luncheons each year.
Right now we want to help you with some tools to get you connected to life in the Carlisle Schools and some other parents or guardians through a few PTO resources.

Along with the administration and faculty, the PTO will have an opportunity to say hello to incoming Kindergarten families at the 'Kindergarten Talk' in April. The PTO will share the details of the School Supply Kit, Spirit Shirt and PTO Membership services, which are generally outlined below. If you register for Kindergarten after the 'Kindergarten Talk' in April, contact the PTO Newcomer Coordinator to help you with any details you may have missed.

Take A Tour - FOR ALL NEW FAMILIES (PRE-K THROUGH 8TH GRADE)
The Carlisle PTO hosts a tour of the Carlisle Schools for new families in late August. Please contact the Carlisle PTO President if you want to know when the tour is this year. The tour is usually arranged over the summer and then posted on the PTO website home page. This tour will take everyone on a tour of the school and campus. Don't hesitate to ask the guide to see any specific rooms or areas. If the spaces you wish to see are open, we will gladly show them to you. You are encouraged to bring the kids so they can become familiar with the school too!
Peer parent program - FOR ALL NEW FAMILIES (PRE-K THROUGH 8TH GRADE)
Navigating a new school system can be overwhelming. The Carlisle PTO invites you to participate in the Peer Parent program. We will match you with the parent of a current student for you to contact with any questions about the school, for as long as you need them. You will find our Peer Parents to be great resources about the school and Carlisle in general, as well as activities in our surrounding towns.

The PTO supports a closed Facebook page. This means you have to be the parent or legal guardian of a current CPS student to gain access to our page. Once you are in you will have a 24 hour resource to ask about all things school and beyond! Like minded parents and guardians are happy to answer just about anything. It is a great place to share information and learn from other families too.
Join the Fun
Once you are settled we hope you will join in our activities and participate in the PTO as a volunteer. Board Members and committee coordinators typically serve a year, July to July - depending on their job. We have lots of ways to volunteer; big jobs, small jobs, stuff to do from home and some you need to be at the meetings to do. So click around this site and see if there is something you would like to do with us. Volunteering allows you to give of your time and gifts, while receiving fulfillment and sharing the company of like minded people. Until then, we welcome you to the Carlisle Schools and hope that we can help make your transition better for you and your family.
