PTO Executive Board and Chairperson Nominating Process
The Immediate past President of the Carlisle PTO serves as the Nominating
Coordinator following her/his term as President. Early in the new
calendar year, the Nominating Coordinator works with the current Carlisle PTO President
to determine which positions will be open for the next academic year. All
PTO positions should be publicized by both the PTO News and other
publicity vehicles to encourage parents to nominate themselves and each other
for any PTO position.
Committee is to be comprised of the following:
The Nominating Committee then meets to review candidates and all roles within the PTO. Members of the committee follow up with nominees, reporting back to the Nominating Chair until the slate is filled. The slate of nominees is then presented publicly at the April PTO meeting, followed by a vote by the membership at the Annual Meeting held in May. Terms begin June 1st.
Committee is to be comprised of the following:
- Two members, who shall not be members of the Board of Directors.
- One member shall be the Executive Vice-President.
- One member shall be appointed by the Board of Directors and shall be a member of the Board.
- Additional members may be appointed by the Board of Directors as they see fit.
