School Advisory Council
The Carlisle School Advisory Council (SAC) is a principal’s advisory group mandated by the State Education Reform Act of 1993. It is charged with supporting district goals through writing and implementing the School Improvement Plan, reviewing the budget, and providing general enhancement for the school community. Members serve a three year term, and the meetings are held once a month at 3:30 p.m. in the Spalding conference room beginning in September.
The council requires equal representation of teachers/administrators and parents, and it must contain at least one community member (a community member is someone who does not currently have a child enrolled at the Carlisle Public Schools). Please visit the SAC Page of the Carlisle School website for a current list of SAC Members. If you would be interested in serving on this council, please contact us to learn more. You can also visit the Carlisle Public School website to learn more about the SAC’s mandate, its current members, and also read the School Improvement Plan. Candidates do not need to be members of the Carlisle PTO to serve on this council. |
