8th grade class volunteer roles
There are three major volunteer roles for the 8th grade
Class Representative
The job of the 8th Grade Class Representative is to keep the parents and guardians of the 8th grade students up to date on happenings for the class and the school. Notices from different organizations; Carlisle Recreation and the PTO to name two. Simply make sure these email announcements are forwarded as soon as possible.
You will be assigned a GMail account from the PTO. You are welcome to pull this account into your own email, but you should be sure to do all of your correspondence through this GMail account. The PTO will have the name and email for your Class Treasurer.
You will also work with the Middle School Principal to manage the budget concerning the trip to DC, the Legacy Tile project, the teacher hosted lunch and the class gift.
And finally, it's your job to remind 8th graders, through their parents and guardians, about the get together at Kimball's the night before orientation begins at Concord Carlisle High School in August.
Class Treasurer
The Class Treasurer manages the Class bank account, pays bills and works with the Class Representative to create the end of year budget including funding for the DC Trip and Graduation.
Graduation Co-Chairs
The Graduation Co-Chairs manage many aspects of graduation in collaboration with the Middle School Principal, Class Treasurer, 8th Grade Teachers and the many volunteers you recruit to facilitate graduation events. You will find detailed information including timelines and job descriptions for all subcommittee chairs here.
